HIGH ADVENTURE CAMP

A 500 foot zipline, whitewater rafting, the giant gymswing, bouldering, wall climbing, culminating in a day of outdoor climbing at an Adirondack Crag. This is a week where every day will be a different kind of challenge and experience. All equipment and transportation is provided.

Let's Climb!
Learn the skills and techniques of indoor and outdoor rock climbing. The program is designed to promote problem solving, self confidence, and develop balance, strength and flexibility. Friday we climb outside at a local cliff! Equipment and transportation provided.

Brie

Brie has been working at RockSport off and on since 1996 and rock climbing for the last 18 years. After participating on the RockSport rock climbing team in 2000 and 2001, she moved up to coaching the now 20 or so, team members. She has climbed all over North America including: Utah, Colorado, New Hampshire, Yosemite CA, and Mexico, as well as all over the Adirondack Park.

Favorite Climb: Yankee Clipper - 5.8 to 5.12c, el Potrero Chico, Mexico

Doc

Doc is a RockSport employee and team coach for the last 7 years and rock climber for the last 16. He moved back from Boulder, Colorado in 2001 to be closer to family and to climb in the greatest backyard any climber could want: the Adirondacks! Doc teaches biology at Hudson Falls.

Joel

Joel is one of the coaches of the Rocksport climbing team and part of the rocksport staff on and off for the last 8 years. Climbing for the last 11 years, Joel likes it all: bouldering at Mckenzie, running it out on the slabs of Chapel Pond Slab, and testing the bolts at Rumney, NH. little known fact: Joel can't drive by the Noonmark Diner without ordering a slice of pie.

Tom Rosecrans

Tom has been climbing for 36 years and owner of RockSport for 16.  He has climbed all over the US and many places world-wide, including 2 expeditions to the Himalaya.  He wrote and published Adirondack Rock and Ice Climbs in 1976.  He is a life-long educator and guide and is proud to call the Adirondacks home. Tom taught in the Queensbury School District.
